St. Raphael the Archangel
Raphael is one of seven Archangels. He is mentioned once in the book of Tobit. He appears in disguise as a human, companion and protector to Tobit’s son, Tobias during a long journey. After returning and healing Tobias of his blindess, Raphael reveals himself as “The angel Raphael, the one who stands before the Lord.”
St. Raphael is the patron saint of travelers, the blind, happy meetings and Christian marriage. His feast day is October 24, and shares a feast on September 29 with Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
